Veteran Actor Kavitha's Husband Succumbs To COVID-19

Prominent South Indian film actor Kavitha's husband Dasaratharaj passed away from COVID-19, reports said Wednesday. He had been critical in hospital for the last few days, seeking treatment.

News of Dasaratharaj's passing comes only weeks after their son Sai Roop's demise on June 15. Condolences for Kavitha's tragic loss are pouring in on social media from fans and other netizens.

Who Is Actor Kavitha?

The 55-year-old is one of the most known faces in the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada &t=113s">film industries, with over 300 titles to her credit. She stepped foot into the world of cinema at the young age of 11, making her debut in the 1976 film Siri Siri Muvva. 

From the 1970s through the 90s, Kavitha's career remained at its peak. In the last decade, she has appeared in supporting roles in films like Aada Paandavulu and Meenakshi, received to acclaim.

Actor Kavitha has also worked in television, currently appearing in the Tamil show Endrendrum Punnagai and Telugu show Oohalu Gusasalade. She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2018, having previously been associated with the Telugu Desam Party.

She is a revered figure in Southern film circles. The demise of her son earlier this month had been mourned by notable personalities from the industry.
