Udaipur Horror: 11-Year-Old Girl Gang-Raped By Her Two Minor Nephews

Another gang rape case came to light, where the culprits were close to the survivor's family. The two minor grandsons of the survivor's aunt (father's sister) allegedly raped an 11-year-old girl in Udaipur. 

The incident came to light after on 14 June, Wednesday after the survivor's elder sister filed the case in Ambamata police station. The incident reportedly took place on 12 June, Monday. The minor's condition is stable after she went through surgery.

Udaipur Gang Rape

The investigating officer Chetna Bhati said that the crime was committed when the minor was all alone at her aunt's place. According to the report, the girl with her mother and elder sister came to Udaipur for her mother's surgery. The minor was left at her aunt's place, while the elder daughter was with her mother in hospital. Bhati claimed during the crime the girl was alone at home, the two accused, aged 13 and 15, allegedly raped her. On returning home, the elder sister found the survivor soaked in blood and immediately rushed to Maharana Bhupal Hospital. 

Doctors on examing the girl, revealed to her elder sister that she was raped. The survivor's elder sister files an FIR police station and registered a case against both the minor boys. 

Women are not safe in India is long echoed but hardly anything is done to make women and girls feel more safe. The rape cases are rigorously increasing, with minors being the victim most of the time. In India in 2021 on average 87 rape cases were registered every day, as per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report. There was a 21% increase in rape cases. The victims knew offenders in 96.8 percent of the cases. 

Earlier in Hyderabad, the five men allegedly gang-raped a 15-year-old tribal girl after sabotaging her soft drink at a birthday party. The accused were aged between 18 and 21. The incident occurred in May this year.
