The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) demanded that the Maharashtra government set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the late actor Tunisha Sharma's death.

The AICWA president said that women are not safe on the set of the television show Sharma was shooting for, Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.

19-Year-Old Girl Assaulted Over Saying No To Marriage

A 19-year-old girl was assaulted by a 24-year-old man allegedly over refusal to marry him. The assault was filmed by another man, and both of the accused have been arrested.

The video, which went viral, shows the accused, identified as Pankaj Tripathi walking with a girl hand in hand before he begins verbally abusing her and assaulting her.

According to Rewa district additional SP (ASP) Anil Sonkar, the girl's family refused to marry her to the accused.

Suspected Animal Attack On Minor Girl Turns Out To Be Murder

The death of an 8-year-old girl in a suspected animal attack in a village in Navi Mumbai turned out to be a murder.

The accused has been identified as Ajay Vijay Chavan, 19. The girl's body was found in a bushy area en route to her home and it was speculated to be an animal attack. However, the post-mortem revealed that the cause of death was strangulation.

The accused changed his statement and confessed to the crime during interrogation. He attempted to rape her and when the minor girl shouted for help, he allegedly strangled her and smashed her face with a rock.
