The girl students above class 7 insisted on speaking only with Vishal Narwade, the tribal development department's project officer. They refused to speak to any other officer, including the tehsildar, BA Kapse.

Former zilla parishad president Jayashree Pawar, former deputy chairman of panchayat Samiti Vijay Shirasath, and the other elected representatives tried talking to the students but failed to get through to them.

Tribal Girl Students March 15 Km

Despite being told that Officer Narwade, who is also the assistant collector, was on an official tour, the students refused to leave the office without talking to him. The students began the march around 9 am from their school campus and reached the taluka headquarters around 11 am. They had walked a distance of 15 kilometres to register a complaint.

Tehsildar Kapse said since the students were determined to not leave the office without talking to Officer Narwade, a video call was made. In a video call with Narwade, the students claimed that their headmistress was harassing them and misbehaving with employees. They claimed that they were all terrified of her unpredictable and dictatorial behaviour. They also added that the headmistress used unparliamentary language.

After patiently hearing out the aggrieved students, officer Narwade ordered the headmistress to be relieved of charge effective immediately. Further, he appealed to the students and their parents to approach the project office if they face any issues in the future. Only after this did the girls leave the office. The administration also provided the students with lunch and arranged a bus to take them back to their village.
