Tollywood Actor Pavala Syamala In Financial Distress, Can't Afford To Pay Rent

Tollywood actor Pavala Syamala is currently facing financial distress. She reportedly can't even afford to pay the rent of her house and hasn't done so for three months.

Pavala Syamala had received aid from the Telangana government in the past. The government has promised to give her a pension of Rs. 10,000 per month. However, she had claimed that the pension wasn't coming regularly. While speaking to a television channel, she said, "It has become a struggle to find food for me and my daughter. Not many are willing to come to us and help due to the pandemic."

Besides that, she had reportedly stated that she hasn't paid the rent of her house for three months, as she can't afford it. Her situation is so bad that she reportedly had to sell many of the awards she received over the years for money.

To make matters worse, her daughter who had earlier recovered from a severe TB infection is now bed-ridden due to an injury. Syamala now has to spend over 10,000 rupees per month for her treatment.

Meanwhile, Karate Kalyani, an acclaimed artiste has tried to get help for Pavala Syamala. She has already tried to get some help through the Movie Artist Association (MAA) and has also appealed to everyone to come forward, and help Syamala. Kalyani had given her Rs 10,000 to cover her immediate expenses.

In the past, actor Chiranjeevi had given her Rs 2 lakh.

Pavala Syamala is a popular name in Telugu cinema and had acted in over 250 films. She is best known for her performances in numerous films such as Khadgam, Andhrawala, Babai Hotel and Golimaar. She started acting in 1984 and had been a part of the film industry for 35 years now.
