The achievement of establishing a station managed entirely by women at the New Amaravati station follows the examples of Matunga station on the Mumbai division and Ajni station on the Nagpur division.

Third Pink Railway Station in Maharashtra

According to the official press release, the New Amaravati station joins the ranks of "Pink Stations" in the country. The station has 12 female employees who are managing its operations. The team includes four deputy station superintendents, four points women, three railway protection personnel, and one station ticket booking agent.

The team of 12 women works in unison to ensure the smooth functioning of the station, catering to the needs of approximately 380 passengers who travel to and from the station frequently.

As the third pink station under the Central Railway’s wing to be exclusively managed by women, the New Amravati station highlights women's empowerment and the growing tendency of the Indian railways to be more inclusive and representative.

The new Amaravati station handles the operation of 10 trains, which enhances its significance within the Bhusaval Division.
