Suha Jarrar, the daughter of the Palestinian lawmaker Khalida Jarrar, was found dead in her home in the occupied West Bank on Sunday.

According to a statement made by a family member, the daughter of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) member Khalida Jarrar, Suha Jarrar was found dead in her home, which is in Ramallah, Palestine. The family statement added that she died of ill-health.

Khalida Jarrar was detained in the month of October 2019. She was sentenced to two years in prison in March 2021 by the Israeli military court. She was accused of 'inciting violence' and also being related to a banned organisation.

The Marxist-Leninist group, PFLP, aid in a condolatory statement that Suha died of a "severe heart attack". Their statement followed soon after her death on Monday.

Canadian-Palestinian lawyer Yafa Jarrar, Khalida's other daughter, had tweeted on her mother's detainment. She wrote, "A year ago today, my mother Khalida Jarrar was kidnapped by Israel’s soldiers from our home in Ramallah. Mom, a feminist, human rights defender and elected member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, continues to be detained without charge or trial. #freekhalida #IsraeliCrimes."

Yafa Jarrar also shared the petition to release Khalida Jarrar on mourning the loss of her daughter. She further added that she has been detained without a trial.

Khalida Jarrar is an elected member of the Palestinian Legislative Council who had been detained by the Israeli armed forces multiple times. Khalida Jarrar was a PFLP representative who was elected in 2006 to the Palestinian legislature. Jarrar has been a long-working politician and has focused on women's rights. She has also focused her work on the affairs of prisoners in Israeli jails.

Al-Haq Center issued an Obituary over the death of Suha Jarrar. They wrote, "Suha joined the Al-Haq family in 2017 as a gender and environmental policy researcher in the Legal Research and Advocacy Department, where she worked with dedication until her death."

They further added, "Suha was a fierce advocate for the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination, freedom, and dignity."
