Recently, a five-year-old girl Aadhya A has set the world record for the most number of hula hoop spins. While in a kneeling position she spun the hula hoop continuously for 4000 times, this she accomplished in an overall time of 34.25 minutes. India Star book of Records and India Star World Records have confirmed her record in the first week of June. Aadhya set the record while she performed at the Priyadarshini Montessori House of Children, Yeyyadi on April 6. After this, the panel of India Star Book of Records verified her performance and declared that her performance is eligible for a world record.

Aadhya is the daughter of Ashwin and Priyanka from Matthadakani. She’ll also receive a cash award from the committee of India Star Book of Records. Aadhya’s mother Priyanka says, “Aadhya would have definitely performed better. On the day of her performance, she was down with fever and was not even able to have her breakfast. Now, when she is fine, she can spin the hula more than 5000 times continuously.”

She has already proved her ability in many fields

From the time she learnt to walk, she has always shown interest in listening to music and dancing. When she was two and a half years old, she was admitted to the Ocean Kids Dance School. Recently, she has also started training in skating and singing. Adding to her fame, she has also been winning the first prize in the Krishna Vesha Competitions. Her mother, Priyanka, said that they took Aadhya to 14 such places where competitions were held. To appreciate her skills, Tulunada Rakshana Vedike conferred on her the title of ‘Taulava Kumari’ in the programme Taulava Uchchaya, held recently in Mangalore.

She has also acted in many dramas as a child artist. She has also acted in a role in Tulu movie ‘Jabardast Shankara’, directed in Devadas Kapikad, which is currently under production. Her dance coach is Chandrashekhar, who is popularly called Chandu.
