Saina Nehwal Reaches Final Of Malaysia Masters

Saina Nehwal has clinched another one, by reaching the women's singles final of the Malaysia Masters on Saturday. She picked a 21-13, 21-10 victory over Hong Kong's Yip Pui Yin in the semifinals. In what's a comeback for the badminton player, Saina put on a strong display as she fended off the opponent in about 30 minutes.

It wasn't an easy start. Saina was slow to begin with and Yin raced to an early 7-5 lead in the first game. This lead spread further extending to 11-5. Saina didn't take this lying down, she fought back and opened up a four-point gap and went on to win the game 21-13.

Starting the second game, Saina was on the offensive at the start. She closed out the game 21-10 to win the match and book her place in Sunday's final. Saina will take on Thailand's 18-year-old player Pornpawee Chochuwong in the final.
