The third child of veteran wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat is the Indian atomweight Phogat. Additionally, the wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat's sister. Her spouse Chikkara runs a lead acid battery recycling firm in Sonepat, Haryana, and comes from a family of entrepreneurs.

Phogat posted wedding pictures on her Twitter and Instagram accounts.  Phogat can be seen wearing a red lehenga in the photographs, while Chhikara is clad in a cream sherwani.

She wrote in the captions of her social media posts, "I'm so grateful to be able to call you my wife, and I look forward to the rest of our lives together. I cherish you. I enjoyed every single second of that truly magical and memorable day."

Geeta Phogat also shared happy moments of the Haldi ceremony of her little sister and the family seems to enjoy the precios moments together. Ritu Phogat also shared photos with her parents on her Mehendi ceremony and captioned it as, "This love is blooming."

It depicts the couple grinning and carrying out wedding customs. Numerous users congratulated the couple and liked the post.

Talking about their love life, during her visit to her sister's home, Phogat had her first encounter with Chhikara. Chhikara used to be Babita Phogat's neighbour. Phogat and Chikkara began meeting regularly, and their romance grew. The decision was well received by the family, who gave their relationship their immediate approval. The couple got engaged in October and their pictures went viral on social media.

After taking home the gold at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in 2016, Phogat made the switch to mixed martial arts a few years later. She is now on a goal to become the first female champion of the country to compete in a major organisation.

Her ultimate objective is to bring a global championship back to India, an achievement she thinks will foster her nation's developing passion for the game.

Phogat is unquestionably the largest MMA star in India and one of the country's leading supporters of the sport. She went professional in 2019.
