Now, she is all set to make a comeback with Hichki, directed by Siddharth P Malhotra (of We Are Family fame) and produced under the Yash Raj Films banner. On her birthday on Tuesday, the social media-shy actor surprised her fans with a Facebook Live chat in which she opened up about personal aspects of her life related to her daughter.

She also discussed her new film and told the public about how this is a feel-good movie which depicts an optimistic woman’s inspiring journey and how she turns her biggest weakness into her greatest strength.

On her constant abandonment of social media, she said, “I’m not on social media, posting pictures of my daughter, because my husband is a very private person and I respect that. I also hate saying ‘no’ to all my fans, so if you would ask me for her pictures, I would hate to turn it down. So I stay away from social media. But Adira is doing well, she’s like a pudding and is taking her afternoon nap right now.”

She talked about the changes motherhood has brought in her life. She said, “My next avatar, is after Adira’s birth. This is my second new life. When you give birth to a baby, they actually say that a child gives birth to a mother. And that’s exactly what Adira has done with me. It’s amazing being a mother, you change overnight because there are certain things that they kind of teach you on a day-to-day basis. I have become stronger and I’ve also mellowed down. But a lot of things come with being a mother. I’m looking forward to my journey of raising Adira, so it's going to be fun.”

With a big gap between her last film and the upcoming one, we sure are waiting for what is in store for us from the passionate actor, especially after the magic she created in Mardaani. Wishing Rani a great second innings in films!
