Rajasthan Minister Sex Scandal Case: All You Need To Know

Jodhpur Police has arrested three people in the case of alleged blackmail and conspiracy behind honey trapping the Revenue Minister of Rajasthan Ramlal Jat. One of the accused in the case had been involved with a similar crime in the past.

The case came into light after a woman model tried to give up her life in Jodhpur a few days back.

1. Three people have been arrested for blackmailing a model and allegedly trying to honey trap Rajasthan minister Ramlal Jat.

2. Dy CP (E), Jodhpur Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav informed the media about the attempt of suicide by a model a few days back from a hotel in Jodhpur. She jumped from the top floor of the building. However, she is under hospitalisation and is going through treatment at Mathuradas Mathur Hospital of Jodhpur. 

3. The model had gone for a modeling assignment in Udaipur during 2021 where she met Akshit and Deepali.

4. The model was later contacted by Deepali who allegedly blackmailed her to do their work. They asked her to take a file to the Cabinet minister by threatening her with her objectionable pictures and videos. 

5. One of the accused in the case named Akshit reportedly used to run a honey trap gang and was booked earlier in a famous case. During this case, he was planning to run a similar conspiracy and blackmail the minister later, informed Yadav.

6. After the model denied serving their purpose Deepali and Akshat decided to do the task themselves. They took the file to Circuit House for meeting the minister on the pretext of some work.

7. The minister, however, refused to meet them as the work was not done as per the process mentioned and therefore they were unable to blackmail the minister. 

8. As per the statements given by the minister to PTI- "When I was in Bhilwara, two women called my Assistant on Friday night, seeking an appointment. As it was too late, I asked the PA to call them the next morning at a public hearing."

The next day when he went through the paper, he saw it to be unrelated to the department. Jat informed-"I went through it but the matter was not related to my department and I told them that. I have never met them before. After I turned them down, and they left"

9. Ramlal Jat is the Revenue Minister in the Government of Rajasthan and is serving as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Mandal constituency. He is a member of the Indian National Congress.

10. Many honey-trapping gangs have been busted in the past few years in Rajasthan. In 2017, many women were arrested by the Special Operation Group of Rajasthan Police in Kota. They were allegedly part of high profile extortion racket.
