New Update
PV Sindhu

Good news on PV Sindhu. At the Hong Kong Open Women's Singles Semi-final clash, Olympic Silver Medallist PV Sindhu  silenced Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon 21-17, 21-17 and stormed into finals on Saturday (Nov 25).

Throughout the match, Sindhu challenged and successfully beat Intanon. The Indian is through to the final with a symmetric score of 21-17, 21-17

Sindhu has recently slipped a place to be number three in the world rankings. This one was an easy game for the champion as she completely dominated the entire court from the beginning till the end. In the second game, Intanon tried coping up but a tough fight from Sindhu crashed her out early.

Intanon of Thailand couldn't stand in front of the Indian shuttler and struggled a lot. Sindhu used her mixed shots and played a defensive game to break the rounds.

She will now face off Tai Tzu Ying in a final clash.

Meanwhile, her other compatriot Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Hong Kong Open Super Series on Thursday (Nov 24).

The India's ace shuttler had entered the semifinals of women's singles of Hong Kong Open SuperSeries after defeating Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in a straight-game. Second seed Sindhu knocked down the Japanese fifth seed 21-12 21-19 in a game that lasted 36 minutes.
