In a widely shared video on Twitter, the woman is heard telling Priyanka Chopra, “You are United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for peace and you are encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan. There is no way you are in this ...As a Pakistani, millions of people, like me, have supported you in your business.”

The woman reportedly called Priyanka a 'hypocrite' for tweeting in favour of the Indian Army earlier this year, and that she is spreading hatred against Pakistan. The Quantico actress was answering the audience's questions at the Beautycon Festival Los Angeles 2019 where the woman accused her saying she is a United Nation's Goodwill ambassador and “encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan.”

After the airstrike in Balakot in February this year, Priyanka had lauded the Indian armed forces on Twitter, writing, “Jai Hind. Indian Armed Forces.”The 37-year-old actress responded to the woman and said, “I hear you... I have many many friends from Pakistan, and I am from India. War is not something I'm really fond of, but I am patriotic. So I'm sorry if I hurt the sentiments of people who do love me and have loved me.”

She calmly continued, “But I think that all of us have a sort of middle ground that we all have to walk. Just like you probably do as well. The way that you came at me right now... girl, don't yell. We're all here for love.”

The woman wrote, “Hi, I’m the girl that “yelled” at Priyanka Chopra. It was hard listening to her say, “we should be neighbours and love each other” — swing that advice over to your PM. Both India and Pakistan were in danger. And instead she tweeted out in favour for nuclear war.”

She went on to say, “It took me back to when I couldn’t reach my family because of the blackouts and how scared/helpless I was. She gaslit me and turned the narrative around on me being the “bad guy” — as a UN ambassador this was so irresponsible.”

She also shared video clips of her interaction with Priyanka and wrote, “Priyanka Chopra tweeted during a time when we were this x (she used an emoji implying how close we came to war) close to sending nukes to one another. Instead of advocating for peace she tweeted in support of the Indian army.”

Putting out another video, she wrote, "“Whenever you’re done venting”. Sorry, didn’t realise that speaking on a humanitarian crisis was “venting.””

This incident has stirred a row on social media with most of them praising Priyanka for her ‘gracious’ response while others termed her a ‘hypocrite’ for refusing to answer the question.
