A C-section had to be performed on her due to the spinal surgery for scoliosis she underwent at the age of 12. The princess suffered from severe scoliosis and had to do corrective surgery.

A source close to the princess confirmed that she was "doing really well" after the delivery. The good news was revealed to People magazine.

Dr Mary Jane Minkin, a board-certified OB/GYN at Yale University School of Medicine stated that "pregnant patients with a history of scoliosis surgery are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If the placement of the metal rods means an epidural isn't possible, the mother-to-be and doctor will come up with alternative anaesthesia options."

The princess had delivered her child on February 9 and was spotted leaving the Portland Hospital with her son and husband. Most members of the royal family such as her sister Princess Beatrice, and Meghan Markle's son Archie were born there. Princess Eugenie's son hasn't yet met his grandparents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
