Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd. is a part of Future Group which was founded in 1967 by pioneer Anant Pai. It publishes comics and magazines based on Indian history, mythology and culture. Under Amar Chitra Katha they publish Tinkle comics, Amar Chitra Katha comics and National Geographic Traveller India. The Future Group has now appointed Preeti Vyas as their new president.
In 2011 entrepreneur Preeti Vyas founded her own publication “FunOKPlease.” It is an independent, award-winning company which publishes childrens books on contemporary Indian themes. After her appointment as the new President, Amar Chitra Katha (ACK) and FunOkPlease have signed an exclusive licensing deal. According to this deal, all the books will be published independently by FunOKPlease.
