We salute Indian athlete Deepa Malik for clinching a silver medal for shot put at Rio de Janeiro this year, becoming the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympics.
“I want to use this medal to support women with disabilities in India.”
On Friday, the UN in India had organized a social media chat #AskDeepaMalik with the Paralympian where she was seen responding to a mixed bag of questions from people and advising how to deal with failure, to accept the real you and to encourage others.
