Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranvijay Singh said the police had got a “tip-off about illegal flesh trade and the racket being operated from the house in Sector 51”.
The officials raided the house, based on information on June 27. On the same night, 16 men and 12 men were arrested from the building, which is registered in the name of AVP Buildtech Private Limited. The lavish three storeyed building comprises 27 rooms and a kitchen.
The raiding team included an assistant commissioner of police, the local police station in-charge, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and officials from the Mahila Thana.
Singh added that apart from the personal belongings of the accused, some incriminating material was also seized from the spot.
Noida Prostitution Racket: 12 Women Detained
Among the 12 arrested women, alleged to be related to the racket, some used to work at parlour and massage centres across Noida, the police revealed during a press conference. They belonged to Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Noida, while the men mostly hailed from Noida, Ghaziabad, Bihar and Bulandshahr. The ADCP further stated that the sex racket used to be run by renting rooms.
An FIR has been lodged in the case and further legal proceedings would be initiated soon, according to a report.
