A Nepali #Tarkariwali (a vegetable seller) has become the cynosure of all eyes. Her recent photos by Rupchandra Maharjan, who posted them on social media, reported The Gundruk Postare creating a buzz. The girl was seen carrying vegetables on her back at the Fishling suspension bridge between Gorkha and Chitwan.

Not long ago, Islamabad’s blue-eyed ‘chaiwalla‘, Arshad Khan and his pictures had won a million hearts. It remains to be seen if social media can change the life of this tarkariwali.

Though many news reports say that the girl was unaware of the fact that she was being photographed, Maharjan confirmed that he had a chat with her and took permission before clicking her. Through him, we now know the Nepalese girl’s true identity (recently revealed by The Gundruk Post). Her name is Kusum Shrestha.

Reportedly, Kusum hails from Gorkha district in West Bengal. Her parents are farmers and she is an 11th standard student. She sells fresh vegetables in the local market to help her parents out.
