The chef-cum-filmmaker took to Instagram and Twitter to share his happiness along with a few stills from the Neena Gupta-starrer film. He also wrote a long, sincere post detailing his journey with the decision of taking a leap of faith to debut with the film. “Being a Michelin Star Chef, nobody takes such risks. To start something so new in creative fields, however, some inner voice inside me made me do it. To be eligible for Oscars 2020. (Best Feature Film). To be on this list,” stated Khanna's caption.

The 92nd Academy Awards will be held on February 9 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy was proposed as India's official entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

Explaining further about his experience with the movie, he wrote, “On Ganga's banks, I wrote the story, screenplay, characters, music and novel of The Last Color as she touched my feet and made me feel alive again & again, singing lullabies to me at night. Everything was a gift from the universe. And today when I saw the list on Oscars - "Eligible for 92nd Academy Awards", my heart strongly believes that this movie was made through me for some cosmic purpose.”

I have completed seven projects, including some web shows already. Panga debuts this month. There is Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan that I just closed, then there's Nikkhil Advani's next that I was shooting for in Patiala. My part in that film is a mystery, but everyone will be amazed when they see me in it.”

Apart from being a versatile artist and proving her vitality as an actor over the years, Neena has also spoken about issues that concern or trouble her.
