Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Wife Sends Him A Legal Notice Seeking Divorce

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife Aaliya Siddiqui reportedly wants divorce and maintenance and has sent the notice for the same. She wishes to end their 10 year-long marriage, Aaliya’s lawyer Abhay Sahai told Bombay Times(BT). The lawyer also confirmed that a legal notice has been shared with Nawazuddin on May 7 via email as well as WhatsApp. And added that the actor is expected to reply to it within 15 days. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently in his hometown in Uttar Pradesh hasn’t yet responded to the notice as per the report. The actor turned 46 today.

Aaliya's  lawyer also revealed “She has suffered a lot. She is managing the kids all alone, she is in Mumbai and it’s very difficult for a single mother, as of now taking care of the kids single-handedly. When a father is there he acts like a pillar.”

Aaliya said to the Bombay Times(BT) that “There are a lot of things that I don’t want to bring to the public domain as of now.” Further adding “Self-respect is extremely important in a marriage. Wo meri khatam ho chuki  thi, I didn’t have that. I was made to feel like a nobody. I always felt alone.”

"I don't want this marriage anymore"

Aaliya said, "His brother Shamas was also an issue. I have gone back to my original name, Anjana Kishor Pandey. I don’t want to be reminded that I am using someone’s identity for my benefit.”  She went on to say “ I want to go with the flow. I haven’t thought much about the future, but I don’t want this marriage anymore. There are no chances of reconciliation.” Aaliya who is currently in Mumbai with her two kids seeks sole custody of them. She said, "I have raised them and I want their custody.”

Aaliya’s lawyer also said that “Aaliya had also sent the notice on May 13^th. We will ascertain the situation after he responds and what is his line of action.” The notice was reportedly sent through digital means as due to the lockdown the notice could not be sent through Speed Post. The details of the notice regarding the content have not been disclosed.
