Mumbai Cop Tows Car With Woman Breastfeeding 7-month-old Baby Inside

In what's a shocking incident, a car with a mother sitting in the rear seat was towed by the Mumbai traffic police on Saturday while the lady inside was breastfeeding her seven-month-old child. Not only that she was unwell and when she saw the car was being towed away, she pleaded the traffic policemen to stop. She reportedly even shared her medical prescription but that too didn't work for the police.

Jyoti Male however says that the traffic policeman did not ask her to get down even once. This incident occurred in Malad suburb of Mumbai city.

“The policemen towing the car did not even once ask me to get down, even when I told them that I am breastfeeding my baby they still did not stop,” she told news agency ANI.

A video of the incident, which took place in Malad West on Friday, has gone viral on social media. The policeman since has been suspended as per reports.

News18 reported Mumbai Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amitesh Kumar has called for an urgent investigation will be conducted by the DCP (West). "Prime facie, it has been noticed that the safety of woman and child was endangered in the said incident. Hence, pending inquiry, the constable has been placed under suspension. Decision about departmental action shall be taken after the inquiry report is received," a police officer said to Zeenews.
