A missing Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh has been found buried dead at former Samajwadi Party MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh’s Ashram. The woman had gone missing two months before and her mother had filed a complaint a day after she went missing. The main accused in the case is Rajol Singh, the son of former Samajwadi Party MLA. According to reports, the mother of the missing Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh already anticipated the kidnapping of her daughter by the Ex-SP MLA's son.

The mother of the Dalit woman alleged that her 22-year-old daughter had been kidnapped by Rajol Singh, the son of Ex-Samajwadi Party MLA Fateh Singh Bahadur right after she went missing on December 8, 2022. She demanded that the police must take an action against the accused.

The mother of the missing Dalit woman in Uttar Pradesh also tried to self-immolate on January 24 in front of Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow. She alleged that the police had not been helpful in finding the whereabouts of her daughter.

Following this incident, the Police arrested accused Rajol Singh. The Police also recovered the body of the missing woman buried at the Ashram of Ex-SP MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, February 10. Shashi Shekhar Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police at Unnao, Uttar Pradesh mentioned that the officers recovered the woman’s body with the help of local intelligence as well as mobile surveillance. “We interrogated the accused Rajol Singh on remand. After which the SOG team recovered the woman's body on Thursday. The body was buried in the plot near the ashram," he said.

Unnao SP also mentioned that the investigation is undergoing as the post-mortem of the dead body is also underway and if there are other culprits involved in the case, they will also be arrested soon.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party, BSP leader Mayawati demanded a strict action against the culprits to ensure an early justice. “The family members were already suspecting the SP leader about her abduction and murder. The state government should immediately take strict legal action against the culprits to get justice for the victim's family, "the BSP Chief tweeted.
