Currently, Kaniz is with her daughter Parveez (Balsara's daughter) and is safe. Madhubala's younger sister Madhur Bhushan found it "shocking" and "beyond words" how her sister was reportedly treated by her daughter-in-law. Madhubala was the fifth child and had 11 siblings. Kaniz Balsara is the 96-year-old eldest surviving sister of actor Madhubala.

Kaniz Balsara Allegedly Abandoned By Daughter-In-Law

Kaniz had gone to New Zealand along with her husband around 17-18 years ago to live with her son Farook who wanted the parents to move with him. He worked in the Correction Department in New Zealand. However, as Perveez said in a statement-"my sister-in-law Sameena did not like our parents." The story was first reported by E Times.

Balsara and her husband were reportedly not treated well by the Sameena. Perveez said brother Farook used to bring their parents food from nearby restaurants and her sister-in-law never bothered to cook for them.

Allegedly, Kaniz was put on an aircraft and was sent to Mumbai. She landed in Mumbai from Auckland on January 29, 2022, without any support or money. In fact, Perveez, who lives in Bandra, was not even informed of her mother's arrival. She was informed just 8 hours before the arrival of the flight in Mumbai. As Perveez was in Palghar, she had to rush to reach Mumbai on time to receive her mother.

Farook passed away earlier this year on January 8. Sameena's torture reportedly intensified and she sent the aged Kaniz to Mumbai without any financial support or any accompaniment travelling from Auckland to Singapore to Bangkok to Colombo and then to Mumbai. Perveez was informed about this when she got a call from an authority inside the airport informing her that her mother had no money for the RTPCR test.

On arriving she told her daughter, "'Beta, do you know that Farook mar gaya hai? Main usko qabr mein dal ke aayi hoon. Plus, I am very hungry. Can I get some food?" E Times reported.

Sameena was contacted by Perveez after the arrival of her mother and when she enquired about her funds, she denied having any. As per Perveez, Sameena has kept all the jewellery, pension, and cash. In the interview, she also informed how her brother had put the mother in Day care in New Zealand and later in the evening, the government would send somebody to bathe her.
