Maya Govind Passes Away: Maya Govind, Lyricist and poet known for working in numerous Bollywood films, passed away today (April 7 ) in Mumbai. The 80-year-old succumbed to a prolonged illness and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai. Her funeral will be held after 3 pm. Her last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle West in Mumbai.
Her son Ajay told Indianexpress.com, “She died in her sleep at home this morning, around 9.30 am. She had blood clots in her brain and had other health issues like urine infection.”
He further added that his mother was not keeping well for a few months. He said, “She was hospitalized twice, once in December last year, and then in January this year.” He also said that her condition was critical in the last few days.
