"I'm feeling very happy and proud," she told NDTV. "Never thought I'll get a reply," Joseph added. After the Supreme Court passed a series of rulings in connection with the oxygen supply in the country, Joseph sent a letter to CJI NV Ramana thanking him for it.
In her letter, the student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Thrissur wrote, "I am happy and feel proud your honourable court has moved orders for supply of oxygen and saved many lives. I understood your honourable court has initiated effective steps in bringing down Covid-19 and the death rate in our country, especially in Delhi. I thank you your Honour for this."
She mentioned that she was worried about the deaths in Delhi and other parts of the country during the second wave of COVID-19.
During the interview, Joseph said, " They moved so many orders and saved many lives. I am very happy."
In a reply to her letter, the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana called her letter beautiful and appreciated her drawing. He expressed that he was impressed by the way Joseph stayed updated with the current affairs in the country.
Joseph's father, Joseph K Francis who worked at Indian Air Force and is now posted at the postal department, said that his daughter reads the newspaper daily and was affected by the deaths in the country.
"Seeing all the pictures of bodies lined up and being burnt, she shared with me her experience. 'Why aren't people taking any action, why are people dying because of non-availability of oxygen, what is happening in India'…these were the questions she asked me," he told NDTV.
