Good news for Kareena Kapoor Khan’s fans! The diva will reportedly soon be seen in her television debut show, to be launched in factual entertainment channel Sony BBC Earth.
It’s time to clap for the new mommy of Bollywood, who made our jaws drop with flawless appearances during her pregnancy, flaunted her #BeboBump, rocked her post-pregnancy avatar recently with that same grace while walking the ramp for ace designer Anita Dongre at the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai, and now is preparing to get into the TV genre. Is there anything this versatile actress can’t do?
According to reports, Kareena will be the ambassador for the channel’s new launch 'Feel Alive'. The makers confirmed that Kareena’s personality and ability to maintain public appearances was why they chose her for the new role.
The vivacious actress has till now steered clear of the small screen but looks like very soon she will break that chain and appear as the first actress ever to become part of a factual entertainment channel.
Saurabh Yagnik, EVP and Business Head, English Cluster, Sony Pictures Networks India, said, “We are excited to have Kareena Kapoor Khan as the ‘Feel Alive’ Ambassador for Sony BBC Earth. Her personality perfectly resonates with our brand proposition and channel content, which will be revealed soon. I am confident that this unique association will take the factual entertainment experience to a whole new level for our viewers in India,” Indian Express reported.
According to reports, the channel is pretty impressed by her persona – having a trait of ‘full-of-life’ nature -- that is a value added to the role and hoping that it would mix a magic ingredient to the channel's content. The channel also promises quality entertainment.
Quoting a source here, “It’s a well-known global factual entertainment channel and they had approached Kareena during her pregnancy. One of the main reasons is her connect with the global audiences. She is quite popular in the UK, a country that she visits often with her hubby Saif Ali Khan. When Kareena was approached for it, she also felt it was a perfect fit for her. She has seen her buddies Salman Khan and Karan Johar connecting with the audiences on TV and felt this was the right time for her to be seen on the small screen.”

Kareena is also expected to start shooting for her new film ‘Veere Di Wedding’, that co-stars Sonam Kapoor and is produced by Rhea Kapoor.
