Is there anyone, particularly a woman, who has not faced the work-life balance question at least once in the midst of their career? And it does not matter if you are a common woman or a superstar like Kareena Kapoor Khan. Now that she has given birth to her first child, the media is going gaga over how Kareena is going to handle her work life and new-found mommyhood simultaneously.

She is going to face the camera for the first time post-pregnancy in April for 'Veere Di Wedding'. She had walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week, some 40-odd days after giving birth to Taimur Ali Khan.

In a recent interview with IANS, Kareena talked about balancing work and motherhood and said, “I have always balanced my work and my marriage. People thought that I wouldn't, and I did. I am going to continue to do that. I think women know how to multi-task,” reported Mid-Day

She added, “Today, you see working women out there. If you have a family, if you have a child... It doesn't mean you are home-bound. Of course, there is time for that and work.”

The actor busted a few myths around how a woman should act during pregnancy and has been an inspiration to all young women. She did not stay confined to home and was actively working and attending brand endorsement events and handled media attention with elegance like she has always done.

Kareena is loving her life with all its recent changes. She said, “I am taking each day as it comes. I think it's the most beautiful phase of my life.” But she does agree that "parenthood comes with a lot of responsibility”. “Both Saif and me are ready for this kind of responsibility.”

She agreed that pregnancy is normal for everyone and women do work during the time. “It's not about proving a point," she explained, adding: "It was just something I wanted to do. It was something I believed in that I have nothing to hide. When I got married, it was the most beautiful phase. Pregnancy was the most normal thing that was going to happen and giving birth to a child is as normal as ever."

Kareena doesn’t think she did anything extraordinary. “The only thing different is that we are just happy; we have an addition in our home," she said.

Now, Kareena is all ready to prep her body for her upcoming film and she is hitting the gym again for the next two months before starting with the film.
