Know Canadian PM Justin Trudeau's Thoughts on Feminism

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be reaching India on Saturday evening (17th February). He is on a seven-day visit to India for bolstering strategic ties with a focus on defence and counter-terror cooperation.

Besides being a great leader, he has always been an ardent believer in women's rights and feminism.

On feminism

We shouldn't be afraid of the word feminist. Men and women should use it to utilise it any time to describe themselves any time. 

I fundamentally believe our society works best when women are at the forefront.

Quite frankly, I talk about the fact that I'm a feminist as often as I can, and every time I do, it gets huge reaction, and media reacts, and the Twitter-verse explodes and things like that, because here I am saying I'm a feminist. I will keep saying that until there is no more reaction to that when I say it, because that's where we want to get to.

In fact, he was once asked why gender parity was important when naming his cabinet, to which he replied,"Because it is 2015".
