We Never Pressurised Him, Says Mother Of Student Who Scored 100 Percent In JEE Main

JEE Topper Ananth Kidambi mother speaks on her son's performance: Ananth Krishna Kidambi, a student from Ahmedabad has scored 100 percentile in JEE Main. He studied for ten hours daily but his family said that they never pressurised him. "We live simple, he emulated that. We stayed away from gadgets, so did he," said Kidambi's mother.

Kidambi wants to pursue his B Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay.

Crediting his family and teachers for his success, he said, "I was preparing for JEE since I was in 10th standard and my main focus was JEE Advance and then I prepared for JEE Mains. My family motivated me a lot to study and kept the environment peaceful so that I can study at home without any disturbance. My teachers also guided me really well and I kept following that."

Six candidates got 100 percentile in the February session exams, held between February 24 and 26. They are Saket Jha of Rajasthan, Pravar Kataria of Delhi, Ranjim Prabal Das of Delhi, Guramit Singh of Chandigarh, Siddhant Mukherjee of Maharashtra and Ananth Krishna Kidambi of Gujarat.

Among female candidates, Komma Sharanya from Telangana emerged as a topper with an NTA score of 99.999 percentile.

This year, more than 6.2 lakh students attempted the examination, including 4.35 lakh boys and 1.85 lakh girls. For the first time, the examination was conducted in 13 different languages. Read more about it here.
