In another horrific state of affairs adding to the Indian educational institutes, three students who were reportedly former students of the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, were accused of recording a video of a 19-year-old girl changing clothes in the bathroom. The students not only shot the video but also used it for the extradition of money threatening to circulate the video around if they weren't paid the said amount.
The accused are ex-students of the college and had entered the college for Visvakarma Puja celebrations at the campus located in the Govindpura area of Madhya Pradesh. According to the latest reports, two of the three accused have been detained by the police. Reportedly, the girl was so traumatised by the whole event that she left her house, and was later found by the Police at the Bhopal Railway Station after her worried family filed a missing person complaint.

1. The incident occurred at the ITI college in Bhopal, where the girl currently studies. The boys took to this horrific activity amidst celebrations and programmes that were organised on the campus on the occasion of Vishvakarma Puja.
2. The three male students allegedly recorded a video of the girl while she was changing her clothes in the bathroom on September 17.
3. The accused visited the girl's friend, showed the video clip demanding Rs 7000, and further threatened to circulate the video clip if they failed to pay the money.
4. The girl, on learning about the same, panicked and left her house, according to reports.
5. After the girl's family visited the police station to file a missing person's report, the police found her at the Bhopal railway station.
6. The case was filed and transferred to the Ashoka Garden Police station, as the campus falls under the station's jurisdiction.
7. Police officer Alok Shrivastava said that the case has been filed against the three under sections 384 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 67 of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
8. The police have detained two of the three accused. The third accused is currently missing and the police are looking for clues as to where he may be hiding, according to the latest reports.
9. Several student unions are currently protesting outside the college campus to imply a fair probe into the matter, and take necessary actions against the accused.
10. Alok Shrivastava, in charge at the Ashoka Garden police station, has said that further investigation is currently underway.
