The wreckage of the two Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets that crashed on Saturday in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena has been identified and found in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.

The two crashed IAF jets, a Sukhoi Su-30 and a Mirage 2000 were found in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The horrific crash killed one of the pilots and two of the pilots were safely rescued.

IAF Jets Crash: 10 Things To Know
- On Saturday, January 28, two Indian Air Force fighter jets crashed in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena.
- The wreckage has been identified and was located 100 kilometres away from the crash site in Rajasthan's Bharatpur. It is to be noted that Morena and Bharatpur are a few minutes flying distance apart.
- The two IAF jets, a Sukhoi Su-30 and a Mirage 2000 took off from Gwalior earlier this morning.
- Reportedly, the crash happened around 10.30 a.m. on Saturday.
- According to a tweet by the Indian Air Force on their official Twitter handle, one of the pilots passed away in the crash.
- "Two fighter aircraft of the IAF were involved in an accident near Gwalior on Saturday morning. The aircraft were on a routine operational flying training mission. One of the three pilots involved sustained fatal injuries. An inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident," read the tweet.
- Morena’s Superintendent of Police (SP) said that there were two pilots in one fighter jet while another had only one pilot.
- The SP of Morena said that two pilots had been safely rescued and the remains of the third have been found.
- The wreckage of the crash in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena has been identified and found in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.
- Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Adarsh Katiyar told PTI that the cause of the crash is not clear yet.
