Indian women’s hockey team beat Chile 1-0 on Wednesday (July 12) in the ongoing Hockey World League Semi-Final, securing a place in quarter-finals.
Recently, the team has not been showing much improvement with back-to-back losses in the ongoing games. With this win, the women squad has surely made a brilliant comeback as this was their first win since the tournament started.
A highly entertaining and much-needed goal at 38th-minute hit by India’s Preeti Dubey who came to the rescue and became lone scorer.
Earlier this game, India had lost to the USA 1-4 and saved by having a draw against South Africa in the opening match.
