Manju Singh Passes Away:  The veteran Hindi television presenter and actor, passed away on Thursday (15th April) due to cardiac arrest. The announcement of her death was made by lyricist, singer and screenwriter Swanand Kirkire who took to Twitter on 16th of April. He also reminisced his time working with her for Doordarshan.

Talking about how she supported him in her career, he explained that she was the one who brought him to Mumbai and gave him his first writing opportunity. He wrote, "Manju ji brought me from Delhi to Mumbai to write her show Swaraj for Doordarshan!”

A lot of social media users took to Twitter to mourn her death. For instance, one of the social media users shared her experience of working with Manju Singh as a child artist, “As a child artist,i got a privilege to work with Manju Aunty, I was 11 year old and my father used to produce children stories in audio cassettes in 85..It was my first exposure to the world and manju aunty used be around like a mother to all the kids.A beautiful soul .”
