This morning, a bus and an SUV collided in Navsari, Gujarat which killed nine people as of the latest reports. Union Minister Amit Shah also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. According to reports, the Superintendent of Police, VN Patel told, "On the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway, an accident took place between a bus and an SUV. A total of nine people have died and several people have got injured. The accident took place around 4 am".
Alleged Dalai Lama Spy To Be Deported
A Chinese woman was found in Bihar on December 29, where Dalai Lama has been staying for an event. She was found near Bodh Gaya district and then sent to the Chinese embassy in New Delhi. Reportedly, the woman was overstaying her visa limit which was for 90 days only. The Foreigners’ Regional Registration Office has cancelled her visa and served a 'leave India' notice, along with an FIR filed against the lodge she was staying in. Read more here.
Condom Ad Not Obscene, Says Madhya Pradesh High Court
A man in Indore had posted a condom advertisement along with a photo of a couple playing Garba and it stirred conversation online and many blamed him for hurting religious sentiments. An FIR was also filed against him, and the Madhya Pradesh High court clarified that there was no intention of hurting religious sentiments by the accused as he himself is a Hindu and he posted the condom advertisement without concealing his identity and from his own contact number shows that his intent was just to promote his business. 18 Uzbekistan Children Died After Consumption Of Indian Cough Syrup
The death of 18 Uzbekistan children has been linked to the consumption of India-made cough syrup. According to reports, the concerned company has been exporting this medicine for a decade now. A similar situation also occurred in Gambia with cough syrup from the same pharma company where children got diagnosed with acute kidney problems. 10 Women Survivors Of Bhopal Gas Tragedy On Hunger Strike
On Friday, 10 women survivors of the haunting Bhopal Gas Tragedy decided to sit for an indefinite hunger strike as they request the central and state government to provide the correct number of victims of the incident for the ongoing case before the Supreme Court of India. According to reports, one of the women participating in the hunger strike said, "These women are not seeking compensation from the government. All they want is that the central and state governments come out with correct data on the number of deaths and survivors still suffering from the after-effects before the apex court."
