In Bihar, a girl's family killed a school going boy who sat near her during exams because she mistook an exam cheating chit for a love letter.

Recently, a gruesome incident came to light in Bihar, where a school girl thought that a boy during an examination pass her a love letter. However, it turned out to be a exam cheating chit. For mere chit, which girl's family also mistook it for a love letter ans alleged killed the boy.

People in India are extremely sensitive about a girl and her honour in the society. Girls are often told to stay away from love relationships and avoid making boyfriends. Sometimes this could turn lethal for girl or the boy. Bhojpur's murder incident of boy is classic example of it.

Girl Mistakes Exam Chit For Love Letter

The incident reportedly happened on October 13 during the half yearly examinations in a local upgraded middle school. A boy, identified to be Daya Kumar belonging to Udwantnagar police station area, accompanied his cousin to the exam centre who studied in grade 6 and was there to give exam. The 12 years-old boy was enrolled in another school in grade 5. During the exam, he tried to help his cousin by throwing a chit towards her desk. However, the chit ended up landing on another girl's desk who thought that the boy has thrown a love letter towards her.

The girl told the incident to her brothers, who decided to take matters in his hands for passing the alleged love letter to their sister. Along with other family members they badly assaulted the 12-years-old and allegedly kidnapped him.

On Monday, October 17, the body parts of the boy were discovered near a railway track. The boy was allegedly chopped to death by the girl's family. The police filed a case and arrested nine members in the case from the girl's family out of which four were juvenile. The adult members were sent to jail, while the juveniles were sent to remand homes.
