Geeta Phogat is leaving no stone unturned in her preparation foe the second season of Pro Wrestling League. And the release of Aamir Khan-starrer, Bollywood film ‘Dangal’, is just the right tonic to fuel her ambitions to win the league with the Uttar Pradesh franchise.

Last week, Aamir Khan hosted a special screening of the movie, where along with the entire Phogat family, Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was also present. Geeta felt it was an honour for her and her family to watch the film alongside luminaries like Sachin. “The movie is a source of inspiration for me and Babita to do well in the league. The league has done a world of good to me and all the wrestlers around the country and world,” said Geeta.

Even Babita echoed her sister’s feelings. “The film has shown the true spirit of the sport and has struck a chord with everyone in the country,” explained Babita. Even their father Mahavir Phogat was impressed with the way Aamir portrayed the character. “I wish the movie breaks all box-office records,” said Mahavir.

Geeta and Babita have become the talk of the town after Dangal‘s release. And the owners of Uttar Pradesh franchise are excited to have the two sisters in their team. UP franchise promoter Honey Katyal said, “I am extremely proud of having both the sisters, Geeta & Babita in our team.  I believe that both will play a key role in our team and inspire the rest of the team players to perform & ensure UP team brings home the title.”
