Fatima Sana Sheikh, who garnered a lot of praise for her acting acumen in Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal, will team up with the superstar again for his new movie 'Thugs of Hindostan'. Some reports had suggested that Aamir had favoured Famita for the role in the movie. However, Aamir's wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao rubbished the reports by clarifying that the decision to cast Fatima was made considering her acting skills.
"We don't deal with it (casting). It's a Yash Raj Films movie, so Aditya Chopra, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Aamir have decided on it. As it is a big film for them, they would have given it (casting Fatima) a good thought. There has to be merit in it," PTI quoted Kiran Rao as saying.

Starring Amitabh Bachhan and Aamir Khan, 'Thugs of Hindostan' will be directed under Yash Raj Films. They confirmed the news of roping in Fatima for the movie by posting a statement on their official website.
Kiran Rao is looking forward to the movie since Aamir and Amitabh Bachhan will be working together for the first time. "It will be a treat for the audience to watch them," she says.
The actors are expected to commence shooting for the film from next month onwards. The movie is slated to release on Diwali next year. The movie marks Aamir Khan's second collaboration with director Vijay Krishna Acharya. They have previously worked together in Dhoom 3.
