The 38-year-old schizophrenic woman's mummified body found with a scary "I need help" note, after almost four years of her death. The body was found at her house in England’s Woking, around 35 km from London.
The deceased Laura Winham wrote 'I need help' on her calendar shortly before her death but, unfortunately nobody from the social services or her supposed support network came to her rescue or even checked up on her for all these years. The cause of her death has not been established yet, and she was identified by authorities through her dental records.

As per her family, She was born with a rare Goldenhar Syndrome which curves the spine and causes abnormal development of eyes and the ears of the sufferer and underwent a major heart surgery at the age of 18, and later was sectioned twice. Winham suffered from mental health issues ever since she was a teenager, and she believed there were voices in her head which were turning her against her own family.
Winham's brother and mother called the officers and requested them to break into her flat to Surrey after this brother believed he saw a foot when he peeked through the letterbox.

After her body was found, her sister said, "We always hoped she would get better with professional help and time, that one day our contact would resume, but we never believed, for even one second, we would end up finding her dead on her floor having laid there for so long without anyone knowing."
The electricity and gas bill of the 38-year-old was continuously being paid all these years through housing benefits, even after her death the annual gas safety check has been registered as per reports by the Mirror.
The family wasn't in contact to her for all these years as her phone was not operating, social workers tried to contact Winham after her Disability Living Allowance was cut off in the year 2016 when she failed to respond to any Department of Work and Pensions letters. She was later seen by the police after one year who reported her case of 'self neglect' to social services, but unable to contact her the police department decided to close her case without ever speaking to the vulnerable woman itself.
After her body was found tragically, her sister said, "There were so many warning signs, from the social care and mental health teams to her landlords, yet everyone seems to have turned a blind eye." The Surrey County Council said regarding the incident that, "This is a genuinely tragic case and our sympathies and deepest condolences are with Laura's family and friends".
