On Tuesday, the ECB announced the schedules for their matches which will start from June 16 this year. The match series will include one Test, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and as many T20 Internationals (T20Is).
Both England and India will start off with a four-day Test match on June 16, followed by three ODIs from June 27 onwards. These matches will be played at Bristol, Taunton, and Worcester. The teams will then play their three T20Is in Northampton, Hove, and Chelmsford from June 9.
ECB Chief Executive Officer, Tom Harrison, said: "We're really looking forward to a busy summer in what is a huge year for our England Women's team, and we're very excited about hosting India and New Zealand."
"The two international series will sit either side of The Hundred, and with the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and the new Regional T20 competition running throughout the summer, it's a fixture list that offers a lot for both our players and our fans," he added.
Harrison also said that the 2022 ICC Women's World Cup is of great importance for the England team and that they will be travelling to Pakistan this October.
English skipper Heather Knight said she is doubly excited about the upcoming series and said that it was exciting to start the summer with the Indian tour.
Meanwhile, both the ECB and the BCCI have decided to postpone India A tour of England. The Indian men's cricket team will now tour with a larger squad to prepare for, the five-match Test Series. Tom Harrison, the ECB officer said that they will conduct India A tour after the COVID-19 restrictions subside.
