Donald Trump Meghan Markle: Former US President Donald Trump said that he hopes Meghan Markle runs for the US Presidential elections in 2024 because that would give him an "even stronger feeling toward running" himself.
Speaking on Fox News Donald Trump showed uncertainty if he will run for his second term as the US President. Although when asked about Markle meeting democrats, Trump said that he is "not a fan" of Markle. Reacting to the speculations if Meghan Markle is going to join politics, Trump said he hopes she does.
"Well I hope that happens because if that happened I think I’d have an even stronger feeling toward running,” he said. He further defended the Queen and called her a tremendous person. Trump in his statement implied disbelieve towards Markle when he said, "I’m not a fan of hers. I think that what she talks about the Royal family and the Queen, and I happen to think, I know the Queen as you know, I met with the Queen and I think the Queen is a tremendous person and I am not a fan of Meghan.”
The questions came after the reports that Meghan Markle met with Democratic members in relation to the presidential bid. Trump in term of running for his second term in 2024 said that it has not been decided and will be chalked out after the 2022 mid-term elections in the US. He said that he has not ruled out running entirely and is still considering.
He said, "Based on every poll they want me to run again but we’re going to take a look and we’ll see." He added that the first priority of the GOP is to focus on getting the White House and Senate back in 2022. He added that he will make the decision after that.
