Dhoni Entertainment To Enter Mainstream Production With Tamil Family Entertainer

Sakshi Singh Dhoni and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are set to mark their mainstream production debut with a Tamil film soon. The production house, Dhoni Entertainment, will now foray into regular production and is bringing some big names aboard. The production banner has earlier produced the famous documentary 'Roar Of The Lion' which was a tribute to the IPL matches played by the popular team Chennai Super Kings.

Sakshi Singh Dhoni, the Managing Director of Dhoni Entertainment, is said to have conceptualised the Tamil film, which is supposedly a family entertainer.

Dhoni Entertainment upcoming film venture

The production house, which intends to create films in all languages, is geared up for its first film in the Tamil language. The cast and crew of the film are yet to be announced. The production house's earlier documentary release Roar Of The Lion proved to be a popular watch on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. Another short film titled Women's Day Out spreading cancer awareness was also produced by the production house.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni shares a special bond with Tamil Nadu since he has played for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. His association of fourteen years with the region has developed an inexplicable connection between him and the State and starting their Pan India cinema venture with Tamil film marks a special relationship.

The director Ramesh Thamilmani stated that the project’s potential to become a mass entertainer appealed greatly to him. "From the moment I read the concept which is written by Sakshi Singh Dhoni, I knew it was special. The concept is fresh and holds all the potential to be a fun family entertainer," he was quoted as saying. Thamilmani further added that the entire crew is excited to start the journey of the film shoot as it will go on floors soon.

Apart from the Tamil film, the production banner is currently in discussion with several filmmakers, screenwriters and creators to write and produce content that pans across the country, and ranges across genres including drama, comedy, fiction, science, and thriller among a few.
