The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will be questioning India's top actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor & Rakul Preet over the next few days. All will be questioned in the connection of an alleged drug nexus in Bollywood. These summons are being served at the homes of the actors as per reports. At the time of filing this report, the NCB had reached Sara Khan's home and served the notice as per Times Now.

This is a developing story.

Just recently Deepika Padukone' manager Karishma Prakash was sent summons but she and Padukone were travelling to Goa for a shoot as per reports. Prakash is also a talent manager at KWAN Talent Agency. The Enforcement Directorate previously investigated the same agency in the Sushant Singh Rajput death-case. Reports suggest the NCB has recovered WhatsApp chats that point to her involvement in the alleged Bollywood drug nexus.

The Case Background

Following the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput the NCB launched a probe into an alleged drug nexus in Bollywood. NCB arrested Rajput's former girl friend Rhea Chakravarty and her brother Showik in connection with the matter. The agencies - CBI and Enforcement Directorate - investigating Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide discovered a new angle after reports emerged that he might have been supplied with drugs. That's when NCB got involved.

When questioned, reportedly Chakravarty gave names of over 20 top Bollywood personalities to the bureau include that of Sara Ali Khan etc. A few days ago Deepika Padukone's name also emerged in the alleged drug abuse case, apparently from a WhatsApp chat that the Times Now Channel accessed. After this report and revelation, it was reported that Padukone and her manager would be summoned. Now the NCB has formalised those summons.
