Who Is Chrissy Teigen? Her Tweets On Trump Became Controversial

House Republicans breathed new life into Chrissy Teigen's controversial tweet of 2019 on former US president Donald Trump. 

The 2019 tweet is again making buzz because, during a hearing earlier this week, it again blew up in the face of House Republicans. Republicans were hearing on Twitter's role in suppressing the Biden laptop story took some unexpected twists including, Chrissy Teigen's tweet. 

Chrissy Teigen's Tweet

Chrissy Teigen's tweet was- "lol what a pussy ass bitch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president." The debate started over how many insults were made. It targeted Twitter's policy of "up to 3 insults” in any tweet. Teigen weighed in over a Daily Show host Chelsea Handler joke on the hearing, she made another tweet- "I went back and forth for a while after watching this and I thinnnnnk it’s only 2 insults! Pussy-ass goes together."

Who Is Chrissy Teigen?

Chrissy Teigen is an American model and television personality, who debuted with the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010.

Christine Diane Teigen was born in Delta, Utah to a Thai mother and an American of Norwegian descent father. 

Teigen started working at the age of 15, she earlier worked at Surf Shop and picked up modelling assignments. 

Her career includes gigs like a briefcase model on the game show Deal or No Deal. She designed and debuted a capsule collection with swimwear designer DiNeila Brazil. She also featured as a character in the 2011 Electronic Arts video game Need For Speed: The Run. She filmed for a Cooking Channel special titled Cookies and Cocktails. She hosted series and events like Model Employee on VH1 and billboard music awards. 

She is the published author with a book titled Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat, which became a New York Times bestseller. She has a youtube channel, which airs family and food content. 

The model was included in the 2019 Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world. 

Teigen married singer John Legend in December 2011, after four years of dating. The couple together has three children: a daughter born in April 2016, a son born in May 2018, and a daughter born in January 2023. 

The whole Donald Trump Tweet exchange happened after, Trump in his tweet insulted her spouse John Legend's music.
