Chennai Gutka Seller Arrested: A 48-year-old man was arrested in Chennai with two women for sexually assaulting minor children. The man named Parumal was first arrested for selling banned gutka products in his area and then the police discovered his alleged role in sexual abuse of children.
As per reports, the police recovered the accused person's phone with several videos of him assaulting children in the presence of the two woman at their residence near TP Chatram area. The police then informed the All Women Police Station of Kilpauk about the incident and further enquiries were initiated.
During the said enquiry, it was reportedly found that the accused man was having an affair with the two women are sisters. Perumal allegedly paid the women for sexually assaulting their children who are four and nine years old.
The women then reportedly helped the man assault other minor girls in their neighbourhood. As per the police, Perumal allegedly assaulted five girls aged between four and 18. The videos discovered on his phone reportedly date back to 2014. The police have stated that the alleged crime was taking place for the last seven years without getting detected by the authorities.
Perumal has been booked under three sections of the POSCO Act which are 5 (1) (m), 10 (read with 13, 14), 9 (1) (m), 15 (2), 6 and 66 E of the IT Act. The two women who helped him commit the crimes have also been booked under sections 16 and 17 of the POSCO act. The police is reportedly investigating whether the women's children are their or they were trafficked by them.
