CBSE Board Alerts Students Against Fake Notice For 2021 Examinations

Until now there is no definite date sheet declared by the CBSE and according to the officials, it will only be announced after the discussions with the stakeholders.

In a notice issued to students, schools and teachers, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday alerted students against a fake notice circulating information on Class 10 and 12 board examination. CBSE also directed the students to only refer the boards' website cbse.nic.in for any examination related details.

“It has come to the notice of the CBSE that on several Social Media Platforms and in News Papers dates/ months for starting of class X & XII Board’s examinations and Practical Examinations are being circulated. As this circulated information is not correct, hence, creating panic amongst the students, students and parents,” said Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, in the official notice.

“CBSE is well aware about the condition of the students and parents in the time of pandemic and therefore, whatsoever decision would be taken by the CBSE that will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time through the Board’s website,” the notice further added.

On Thursday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank conducted a live interaction with the students, teachers and parents in which he hinted at an alternative mode of examinations instead of the board exams in case the schools remain shut. He also clarified that it is not confirmed that the board exams will be held in March and that it is postponed until further notice. He assured that students will get enough time to prepare and the students have administrations support.
