Cancer Patient Offloaded From Flight

A woman cancer patient who recently underwent surgery was allegedly offloaded from a flight from Delhi to New York. The incident took place on January 30 and came to light after the traveller, Meenakshi Sengupta, lodged a complaint against the flight attendant.

In her complaint, Sengupta said that the flight attendants refused to help her put her handbag in the overhead compartment. She said she cannot carry any weight in her hands and was weak from her surgery.

She said, "They said if I'm so uncomfortable I should just de-board the flight. They were collective in their decision to deboard me".

Woman Dies While Preventing Purse Snatching Attempt

28-year-old Ganga arrived at Amritsar from Delhi along with her friend to see a flag-lowering ceremony at Attari.

While returning to Amritsar, two bikes attempted to snatch her purse and Ganga lost her balance and fell while attempting to prevent the snatching. She sustained head injuries from the fall and was rushed to a hospital, where she was declared dead.

3-Month-Old Passes Away After Being Branded By Hot Iron Rod

A 3-month-old who was allegedly branded 24 times by a hot iron rod in the name of treatment passed away in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh.

Shahdol Collector Vandana Vaidya got in touch with the doctors who said the reason for her death was acute pneumonia. Vaidya added, "Such malpractices have been reported in Shahdol for a long time."
