Boman Irani's Mother, Jebranoo Irani Passes Away At 94

Boman Irani Mother: Actor Boman Irani's 94-year-old mother, Jerbanoo Irani, passed away on June 9, Wednesday morning in her residence due to old-age related ailments.

Boman Irani, in his tribute to his late mother, wrote, "What a spirit she was. Filled with funny stories that only she could tell. The longest arm that always dug deep into her pockets, even when there wasn't much there." The social media post also had a picture attached of him with his mother.

Irani also mentioned that his mother played the role of his father and mother as his father passed away six months before he was born. Jebranoo Irani then took charge of the family shop and brought Boman Irani alone since 1959.

Even in the past, Boman Irani has credited his mother for encouraging him to watch films at a young age. Irani mentioned his mother's love for popcorn. Talking more about his mother in a heartwarming post, Irani wrote about his mother's love for food and songs.

He wrote, "She loved her food and her songs and she could fact-check Wikipedia and IMDb in a flash. Sharp, sharp, sharp, till the very end." Irani shared that his mother wanted him to spread joy as an actor. She told him, " You are not an actor for people to praise you, you are an actor so you can make people smile." Irani wrote.

Remembering his last conversation with his mother, Irani shared the incident from Tuesday night and expressed amusement over her unusual demand.

"Last night she asked for Malai Kulfi and some mango. She could have asked for the moon and the stars if she wished. She was, and always will be... A Star," he wrote.
