Blindfolded Teddy Bears Exhibit Plight Of Kids Taken Hostage By Hamas

A collection of close to thirty teddy bears, each blindfolded, has been arranged in Tel Aviv. The exhibit was put in to raise awareness about young children who are held captive by the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas.

As reported by Fox News, each of the thirty brown and white stuffed animals displayed a photograph of the children, with some being as young as 9 months old.

These children are among the 222 individuals who were taken hostage in Gaza by Hamas fighters after their attack on Israel on October 7. The teddy bears, positioned near a fountain, were adorned with artificial blood.

The Israeli government has reported that more than half of the estimated 220 hostages held by Hamas possess foreign passports from 25 different countries, with 54 Thai nationals among them.

Additionally, the government updated that 328 individuals from 40 countries have been confirmed as either deceased or missing following the unexpected attack by Hamas fighters on southern Israel on October 7. Overall, an estimated 1,400 people lost their lives during the assault.

According to Reuters, hostages include 15 Argentinians, 12 Germans, 12 Americans, six from France, and six from Russia. It's likely that many of them held dual Israeli nationality, although individuals like the Thais and five Nepalese hostages almost certainly did not. There was also one Chinese hostage, one from Sri Lanka, two from Tanzania, and two from the Philippines.

Among the foreign casualties and missing individuals, the Thais represented the largest single group, with 24 confirmed deaths and 21 still unaccounted for.

A total of 7,191 individuals have lost their lives in the conflict on both sides, which includes at least 1,400 Israeli civilians and soldiers, as well as 33 Americans.

The Gaza health ministry, controlled by Hamas, reports that there have been a minimum of 5,791 Palestinian casualties in Gaza, with over 16,297 individuals sustaining injuries.

Several other countries experienced significant casualties, including the United States, with 34 fatalities and five individuals unaccounted for. Ukraine reported 25 deaths and two people missing, while France recorded 23 deaths and one person missing. Russia reported 23 fatalities and four individuals missing.

Additionally, five Chinese citizens lost their lives, and one person remains missing. Nepal also suffered five fatalities, with five more individuals currently unaccounted for.
