How would you feel if someone bullies you for something you have no control over? Shattered? However, Beatriz Pugliese from Brazil has decided to come to terms with it and resolved to lead a happy life. The 22-year-old woman is suffering from a rare skin condition wherein a birthmark covers 80 percent of her body. She didn't have anyone to share her agony with since it affects only one in half-a-million people. Her uncommonness made her a butt of jokes with people calling her a "monkey" and " dalmatian".

"I would always tell others that we have to learn to be happy with what we have, in every sense of life, but specifically in our differences. We have to see what we are inside."

Due to her birthmark, Ms Pugliese has to apply sun cream every day, as it makes her more prone to skin cancer.

She had undergone 30 surgeries to get rid of her birthmarks but now, she is ready to embrace herself. She has decided not to go under the knife anymore.

She is now on a mission to inspire more and more people and explain it to everyone the importance of accepting oneself and living happily with what one has been bestowed with.

Ms Pugliese said: 'I would always tell others that we have to learn to be happy with what we have, in every sense of life but specifically in our differences. We have to see what we are inside.', as reported by Daily Mail.

She asserts that it is our inner beauty that makes all the difference. She explained, 'Nature fascinates me, all its details are so incredible that I could spend hours in a forest just enjoying it all.'

She is a nature enthusiast and aspires to work with monkeys in the future. Her family has been a big support all these years. They never encouraged her to hide her birthmarks from anyone.

Interestingly, her boyfriend for three years is comfortable with her condition and accepts her for the person she is. He tries her best to make her feel comfortable.

It is wonderful to see women not paying heed to what the society says and accepting themselves the way they are.
